Reigelsberger To Speak Saturday at Dem County Convention

County tax assessor Sue Reigelsberger will address the party convention at the Courthouse March 24.  The meeting opens at 2 pm.  The likelihood that the Iowa GOP will cut local tax revenue by breaking their "backfill" promise will be on everyone's mind.  Reigelsberger can explain how we got into this mess and how it will affect local government budgets.

John O'brien, candidate for Iowa State Senate will address the convention, too.  O'brien is the principal at Rabiner Treatment, a school near Ft Dodge.

The convention must choose three delegates to the state convention in June.  If no candidate for governor wins more than 35% of the vote in the Democratic primary, those convention delegates will select the nominee.

Everyone is welcome to attend to hear the speakers.  Registered Democrats may get seated at the convention as voting delegates if there are vacancies on Saturday.
