Candidates to Speak in Laurens October 28

Two candidates who want to replace Steve King will speak in Laurens on October 28 at a Democratic dinner.  Leann Jacobsen of Spencer and J.D. Scholten of Sioux City are each seeking our votes in next June's primary election.

Leann is on the Spencer city council and operates Bear Coffeehouse and Wine Bar on the river bank in downtown Spencer.  

J.D. is a former professional baseball player and now  a litigation paralegal, specializing in eDiscovery, Intellectual Property law and trials.
