County Convention to Re-convene

The Pocahontas County Democratic Party will re-open its March 2012 convention this Saturday, August 4 at 9:00 A.M. at the Courthouse. Retired sheriff's deputy Pat Sheda of Rolfe wants to be the party nominee for county sheriff. If nominated he would face incumbent Bob Lampe this November. The convention must re-open with two thirds as many delegates as attended in March. A regular meeting of the county central committee will follow the convention.
